Moving on

 

Hi Hi folks, here we go with another entry after last week's offering and its comments so thank you very much for that because we are working towards a wider range when comes to topics that I post about on here.

That's around the many changes that have occurred in my life over the years, changes in the extent to which some things that interested me the have changed and the belief that working through my emotions journalling  makes more sense.

Ducks and Swans have been a favourite thing of mine to just sit out and watch, be they in a parkside lake or like in this picture I took recently, swimming on our local canal.

  Generally I tend to favour using a telezoom because you can move from something like a duck or swan  capturing it and its reflection to more of a portrait at the twist of the zoom range rather than having to change from a 90mm to 210mm fixed length lens.

Rest

The bright sunny start of the week as anticipated started to fade but nonetheless it's great to be out in the fresh air away from Status updates and the like just switched off, relaxing, in your hello kitty stuff.

One advantage of being in this part of the North-west Midlands is easily access to open countryside even if some of it is uneven due to severe subsidence from Brine Extraction that caused the plant and a good number of properties around this location to sink into the ground.
Quite often you can see a variety of different birds flying overhead, moths and butterflies about over the adjacent meadowland and the swans by the canal looking rather graceful with their young.
No surprises then that's where I rush to for an hour or so of peace and quiet.
Last night I spent sometime switched off listening to  Chamber music by Fauré - I'm going through a French composers phase at the minute - care of my music player totally engrossed in it. So peaceful.

Walk with me

I was looking at some pictures I took recently and thought I'd share it with you.
Where we live there's this a inland waterway and while there's not much traffic on it now, there often is in the spring and summer.
Be that as it may, one thing I've always enjoyed doing is walking ever since being a child and I find walking in this area quite stimulating as you see a lot of wildlife both mammals and birds plus at this time of your you sure can appreciate the fall as you see it in the trees and vegetation near the locks such as this one.

It makes walking so much enjoyable.
