Spanking in adulthood

There are times when I think much of the appeal of spanking in later life for those of us to whom it isn't erotic comes from that mindset because contrary to what might think and say, we associate the act of being spanked with being cared for even as we fail to see why our attitudes and behaviours as legal adults is leading us and the long term implications from carrying on down that path.
To have a "reminder" spanking however brief is to bring back into our subconscious the very likelihood of it  and certainly I get a warm glow on the inside from that very feeling.
It's a blessed relief.
