More warm this week as I sit typing up this weeks entry in bits and pieces no doubt.
For a good number of us, our sense of being young is in part at least connected with our actual childhoods and the routines we had back then and for me at least it was the arrival of comics which in the case of this British one came out on a Thursday.
That's right, the Beano which first came out in 1938 apparently although during World War II, it was reduced to fortnightly to save paper which was in short supply.
This is special kind of a magazine with a softbook binding issued July 24th featuring a background capsule on all the main cartoon strips the comic run and the first strips of each that for me included such favourites as Minnie The Minx, Lord Snooty, Biffo the Bear, Dennis with Gnasher and the school series the Bash Street Kids that was close in some ways to my first school with its' Victorian building. Dennis has only been regularly on the front page from September 1974 taking over from Biffo.
Included in it is four glassy art prints which just adds to the enjoyment of this special issue although I often get the new regular copies and there is a celebratory featured special issue of the regular comic that I hate to say really doesn't work as part of the appeal is the constant old style art and traditional storylines carefully made just slightly in tune with our times for younger audiences.

Going back I do:I really need by bare bottom spanking
No doubt if it had been me as a genetic girl back then I'd of been called out to the front of the class, where I'd stand gingerly as I was told to lower my bottle green knickers before being forced over Misses knee for a spanked bottom as the whack whack whack sounds are punctuated by by ow ow ows and sobbing before finally at the last stroke ending, my bottom having acquired glistening red colour, stinging.
Then my knickers would be roughly pulled back up as they preserve my modesty before having to apologize before everyone and sheepishly making my way back to the desk followed by that first yelp as you sit on the wooden chair as the seat irritates your still smarting behind.
No surprise then that in school girl role play it often comes to mind and no doubt if I was role playing as that girl I'd accept being spanked again like that consensually by either a prefect, headgirl or school mistress.

I wonder how you would have coped in English pre 1960's school where such treatments were dished out when needed. I think that the mind frame of many of us that were at school then was that it you did not take your punishment there was always something far worse available. Boy could those old school teachers hand it out!

Larking about Jo
Larking about is something I did do at school in various ways of which one was making funny gestures and I know from when I've been in similar situations in the recent past I revert to type doing that too so in a age regressed school situation no doubt I'd be caught doing it.
I also feel adult schoolboys really do belong in shorts at all times.

I miss my school days
*Written for "Experience Project" July 17, 2013
For me it began with being given to the older girls at the age of 5 who'd old me by my arms and legs swinging me back and forth over the grass which with being physically in their hands I learned to trust other girls to take care of me. In time they taught me to play games with them all of which helped me to settle down into school with the more formal lessons, learning what was required of me to learn about different subjects anew. For me it was a relatively carefree point in my life.
We did a great many physical things such as playing rounders, gymnastics, climbing, swinging from ropes like I was a monkey girl but one of the most fun things we did was to sit outside and draw, feeling the wind blowing through did quite a bit of reading both class based and also individual, having to give short accounts by the time we'd gone to secondary school of what we'd read to the class that proved to be most useful in public life as an adult.
By the time of my secondary school it was even more fun because I went to a boarding school so the adventures that started in the day often continued to at least lights out in the evening which included pillow fights.
There were times in my school life where I was in trouble seldom for anything really mean or obnoxious but for things like refusing to co-operate or being a cheeky monkey and one one occassion hitting another child. I was punished for these things usually by being spanked or on a few times caned but after having it, it was forgotten about with the slate being wiped clean.
I learned to hold my own and to care for others from those experiences because our school wasn't a place just to be little exam passers but also to help develop and shape our characters which was as well cos we had to leave for employment that was never quite the same.
To conclude, when I say I miss my school girl days what I miss is in part the people and adventures that were apart of that time, the lessons I learnt and above all probably the structure of our lives so carefully created by those who had our real interests at heart.

I love this story simply because I am one who would also like to go back to the regulation and above all though security of school life. I would also love to be in this situation again and even live in an environment where if need be and within reason I got spanked or even caned on occasions. Some people might feel this life severe, but for my part although my schooldays were strictly regulated, as you say school life was governed by adults who cared and you got many opportunities to turn over a new leaf.
Well worth an occasional sharp whacking!

Comment: Although I did not say outright in this story, as anyone who has read this blog knows, I did and do want to go back to much of that regulation and security of school life and being a schoolgirl including being spanked or caned within reason whenever I mess up for no good reason.

Take three
Apart from being jolly warm at the minute I also feels hungry so no doubt that kind of inspiration comes into play with the first two skirts.
Munch! It's all about cupcakes that easily lends itself to motifs with so many varieties.
You can even add polka dots to the hem and it still works well as with this design found on Etsy
Finally and followers of my Tumblr also love Elegant Gothic Lolita so here are three lovely examples of JSK with accessories.

Ten
Do not adjust your computer peoples for what we have here is almost a deadringer for me at ten with the right shaped face, hair and so on as I ought to remember 10 as by this point we'd moved to a school that was very much 20th century, with more land so we did stuff.
The uniform needless to say is wrong needing a red sweater and the socks were meant to be white but it's so close my head has gone back in that year! Stuff we did include basic gardening and plant growing which was nice considering we were in the countryside, we had some science kit and even a proper school library now.Naturally we played Rounders still.
Oh goody gumdrops, there's a book we read with a very important moral plus a good heart and isn't Mary looking so pretty in that dress? It was always a favourite of mine by the Authoress Frances H. Burnett, who was born in England but moved to the United States of America at 16 years of age and recently I re-read it. I vividly recall at 10 our class reading Emil and the Detectives as our teacher would read it aloud and we'd follow him.
Of course in this era, there was another kind of reading we did and I'd bet $5CAD I had and read this annual back in the day as a number of you probably did as well.
Great things about ten included being able to watch and understand more complex movies, having a bit more personal freedom as well could playout by ourselves so long as we we back on time for supper, being able to play more board games (no Playstation or X box then) and the music of which I listened to included stuff by Queen, Mud, lots of Motown and Phillysoul, Slade and the Tartan Terrors (aka The Rollers) that we talked about at recess.
