Lingerie time

We're going back a few years really this week, actually just under a few decades really when I first started really exploring much of this in the online era experimenting with different looks of which one was really the maid look.

Not a cheap and cheerful pvc take but something more like actual hotel maids and that wore at the time and where just after leaving school I had rather fancied at least in my head the idea I could work as a maid as people skills and attention to detail were more me, what I was good at than much else.

Exploring lingerie started for me around the time I got a job working in the city centre where there's more of everything than here and these wore my thoughts as written down back then on this experience.

I was busy working today and had some time to kill before I left for home.

This thing has been bugging me for decades certainly past being 12 and it's why for all my gender issues and the rubbish I've endured, have I never actually gone out a.nd bought myself lingerie?

Is it that I'm just too embarrassed to be seen looking through the displays and to be holding them at the sales counter, like if someone I know just happens to see me?

Darn it, I want to know so today I actually and deliberately walked into a high street lingerie store and with the aid of the female assistants bought myself several pretty pairs with bows on, nothing really hot, just regular pretty to wear under my slacks while I'm in vanillaville.

The funny thing was I didn't phaze the staff out and and they made me feel comfortable during the whole time.

And that really was the thing so rather go the route of chains like Transformation, I went to high end lingerie stores and let them help me pick what looked good on me

St Trinians!

It's been a warm start to the week here so we're having to watch time spent in the sun or for that matter upstairs as it gets very warm and I run warm as it is.

Looking more like the products of my kinda school here's the St Trinian's Girls in the classic 50's and 60's form. The series started in movie form in 1954 is about a group of unruly private school girls in a unconventional  and one might say corrupt school system who are always battling out between the Ministry of Education, any adult who crossed them and the girls themselves.

Below is a picture taken as part of renactment of part of Great Train Robbery of St Trinians film from 1966 where the girls get to play with trains!

The organizers of the preserved railway kept things very much in the spirit of the original film and the cartoons so it's high jinks rather than anything sleazy.

The uniforms have become a staple of so-called grown up dressing up in their native UK for things such as school reunions and so on which makes the ordering and wearing somewhat more straight forward than you might think.

I enjoy wearing them when my inner girl is feeling at that level building upon my school girl at heart personality.

Transitional arrangements

Great isn't? The combined fibre/telephone service has been dropping out this week so phone calls "dropped" mid flow and refreshing on sites was problematic apart from the usual click here and get an infection things presently taking advantage of the FUD (Fear, Doubt and Uncertainty) with the impact of online legislation.

Still the good news is I'm rediscovering bits of the past that got chopped and changed on the blog over the years and one was I did have an interest in wearing proper maids attire and indeed at one point so wanted to work as one.

Can't say if that'll come back but it was something I did enjoy.

You can't escape the past though, and I've been through some rough patches like while I was in my teens I went rolling down a hill backwards in a motorized scooter scaring the heck out of everyone (and probably myself too) when I m
ade a big mistake involving gradients that could of been fatal.

Talking of the past, I was reminded of things from the past while reading a few tumblr blogs where that realization at time I always seemed to want to present different to peers from time to time and the tension between their ideas and mine.

This sort of presentation was what I liked around the middle of decade that kind of got the "and she's wearing that!!!" looks but in context I just love gothy meets kittenish looks beyond school girl atttire and god knows school girls have more than one look for after school!

That was the thing and maybe I'll return to that.

Cutesy warmer days

Wowies some interest here and at the EB even if only two out of possible twenty others from the "camp scene" did which does say it all - they just prefer gossip to showing an interest in you, in the way many of us in real life and in other forums would wish one another a happy birthday.

That shows really what's missing ever since they  regrouped using different communications.

As a kid we played all manner of games at birthday parties that if you were good, you'd be invited to apart from the party food, back then fairly simple like sticking the tail on the donkey or Blind Man's Bluff that were fun.

This was a game I remember playing that was really funny.

This blog has always been electric-correction-eclectic in its scope dealing with things that broadly fit into my middle/littles life and vantage point as much as it might be easier to fill each entry with plushies and the like.

It's just me in the end contemplating an Exposure Value reading while clutching Theo with a bowl of ice cream at hand.

Anyway my liking plushies and cute things has always been mentioned here, at EB and other sites before arriving on Tumblr as it goes back quite some time and even Mommy knew that.

She knew I was all sweaters and skirts and now it's spring I can enjoy wearing my shorter skirts being the kitten I am.

Getting by

I saw this manga drawing a few days ago and liked it a lot although I'd of written the first speech bubble as "I started out as a guy" had I been any good at drawing because our girl is showing sensitivity to how she is perceived in her new role among the other girls.

I think one of most important things is having respect for your inner girl, that's to say you don't put her in crass or otherwise crude situations if you wish to hold your own in the company of those born and raised as girls from the outset.

Those of us who started out as guys can't just demand the right to accepted and be granted it; we may have to earn our right to be wear our uniforms as part of being regarded as the girls we truly feel.

It's also important to understand females have spent ages fighting discrimination in the home, in school and in work.

Girls of our sort arguably need to both accept and embrace that same struggle fighting with our genetic sisters  for equal treatment in the workplace and supporting those who even in today's world get a bullet in the head for supporting girls education as fundamental human right.

If you can, learn about those struggles and support our genetic sisters in practical ways.
The path to our acceptance isn't easy but we need to take responsibility for making it as smooth as possible.

Looking beyond the nine to three forty-five

The other blog (and it's template) tended to look things from a female explorative and school girlish angle while here tended to centred very around school girl or wanna be school girl life and looks but as time goes on, topics well covered or changes creep in what we post does alter.

It's fair to say what we were posting from around 2014 through 2018 isn't because of changes in circumstances and as ever you've always had to be aware of Bloggers restrictions (and revisions of).

Beyond of that school girl look - some have rooms full of full uniforms - the teen fashion concious girl with skater skirts and big bold strips has always been a favourite of mine.

While with my condition fussy fastenings are something I would need help with and heels being a no go with being very unstable on my feet I do love a more girlie satin dress look with frills and pretty bows as whenever I have managed it it just felt "right".

I'd love to be in that picture.

Frilled edition!

A good good while back anything really "girlie" used to really send me skipping off to the table to hide under but over the years things have changed.

Heck I did mention the odd thing about overall changes within some time ago so something I don't usually talk about  and certainly never something you'll see peeking out all ikky on this blog ever but actually some of us do a bit of the frilly albeit in a restrained way possibly cos we're exploring things. Exploring us even.

In my case probably more I just feel like sometimes being more girlie some of the time at least and something that is relatively plain with fully elasticated legs for a snug fit appeals more than some designs and I feel happy in them.
Plus I got a couple of pairs of these white frilly ankle socks to go with them and these do go just above the ankle which I prefer looking a bit more balanced with the skirt lengths I usually wear.

Things afoot

Canvas soled footwear was very much a part of my childhood and for good number a part of their casual side later on in life but the Pastel Galaxy tennis shoes have a allure that's just for us being so cute and girlish.

Shorter Pereline socks can also play a part in terms of a summer look, very much a little girl look but cooler for those warmer days while still being breathable.

May Bank Holiday edition

It's a May Bank Holiday next Monday and I have things to be doing not least a few things for the local community which at least keep me fitter than if I didn't  even if the weather as ever is all over the place as it was on Monday with strong winds and all that.

Charming considering this coming weekend people in part of the North-west Midlands are out celebrating over1000 years of the history of Staffordshire which in its original form is the home two large urban conurbations at its far ends and was ranked as the fifth most populous County in England.

From Flash to Enville and from Gnosall (but sadly have they have no Gnu's) to Uttoxeter it is a country rich in contrasts, countryside and industrial heritage.

In Lichfield, the county has a most wonderful cathedral.

Naturally we are moving into Summer now so out comes our games kit as we get new clothes  ready for the great outdoor season to get a bit of a tan and let our skin get fresh air around it after hibernating although some parts of me easily get a tan....

Tomboy Jo

There's an age-old adage, "There's more than one way to skin a cat" and that is very true when it comes into many aspects connected with age regression and the life that goes with it so I usually counsel an acceptance that there's no one magically right way to go about it.
This is especially true on the little/middle girl side where sometimes it might seem we're all frilly dresses with lashings of lace but there was a girl, very famous one who was a heroine of mine who went a whole 180 degrees the other way
"George" from the Famous Five series actually was Georgina a girl who was very much a Tomboy, taking the lead and liking to wear less feminine girls attire to the point she did wear schoolboys shorts (although most modern versions remove this essential aspect of the storylines).

You could say she was rebelling about gender roles  and what was seen as suitable attire for girls and actually there is a fair bit of her in me that does wear shorts that aren't super pink and with curvy piping outside of my love of dresses.

I do wear the above navy tailored 'boys' shorts with my girls attire as that girl which is at times more practical and yet also does tie in with liking to present as a middle/little

This Saturday for instance I wore them with my Hello Kitty long sleeve t shirt and white frilly ankle socks outdoors walking as it was fairly warm for time of year which is pretty Tomboy.

Of course that doesn't mean I cannot and do not have pretty dollies I can play with, dressing them up and creating super girls adventures that I and they feature.

Indeed we might have that most occassions especially social ones you have me in pretty skirts and dresses with matching accessories, it's just that it isn't like that all the time.

Leather?

I once tried leather skirts but I never quite got one with them however this pleated one which doesn't look to thick or shiny, might be the sort I'd feel okay wearing although with my walking we can forget about anything outside of flat footwear.

I've never done anything open toe as I tend to catch me feet on things so it wouldn't be a good idea although I like totally get why many do in the spring and summer.

Dear reader

Hi peoples.

I woke up with this idea for a post cos the next scheduled one would be a in a few days time but before I went to bed with Theodore, I noticed something on the Dorm Blog I want to talk about.
The first thing is while I've been doing my Math schoolwork this week, we have had a grand total of 18,814 views since the blog was started and in the last month 2,014 which is a lot of views.

People have many reasons for writing a blog, some being very much with the authors own needs such as making a dairy of their lives, interests and important events getting a great deal of satisfaction in reviewing them as time flies.

Well, that's partially true for me but another reason for writing a blog is to better inform people about some interest or aspect of your life because many do not understand it or worse still think they do on the basis of sensational stories in magazines and the popular press.

For me, it is that I wish people who encounter this blog randomly, to understand what being an adult little girl is about, like it's not  seedy, a dirty little secret, a threat to society or worse still Children's welfare.

It's an very important part of a everyday responsible life that you're engaged with that is stacked with childlike innocence, fun and a refreshing spontaneity. We also have mainstream hobbies and  a sense of humour!

As well,  many of us contribute in different ways to making lives better for others by solving scientific problems, making things people like or helping people navigate complex personal needs.

That's why having people stop over at this blog as well as other peoples too is important because it helps to break down these erroneous preconceptions so having good viewing figures matter to get the word out.

Thank you dear reader for stopping by today and if you haven't already please either spread the word about this blog or consider following it.

Somethings afoot!

Different kind of a week when it came to events in the background as much as we did have a bit more of "normal tv" in the final days rather than wall to wall live coverage of events connected to the death of our Queen.

You can understand it but there are times when it gets a bit too much as much as it act as a bit of a primer to how our constitution works, an aid to study.

Sometimes I just don't know what gets over me like apart from getting bratty I shot through two requests to take stuff to and empty the bin.
That resulted in the loopy cane making an appearance while over a lap with my knickers taken down and another caning a couple of days later just in case I thought it wasn't so bad after all.

On the other side I did some cute kitty socks which were cool!

Going back with events

While with other events in country in this last few days have taken us back us back a few decades or so and give us reason to look ahead to changes, this week I'm going back to twenty ten.

I was rather experimenting with looks beyond that had initially inspired me such as more formal office wear or the stuff of my schooldays, the blessed school uniform.

Things more Goth or Emo were more it so I had short  net like skirts, tops and over the knee ringer type socks although I did experiment also with wearing stockings with them.

Ditto lace up canvas shoes or heels although I tend to be rather wobbly on the feet with limited control of their movement.

It was a bit before the tartan micro skirts started to come in and with the netting underneath could give you a far bit of modesty although obviously you do mind how you sit.

Think Pink!

Sometimes  you come back with things you didn't expect when you see people.

Unfortunately seeing people wasn't possible this year with being very poorly although up to the last minute when I realized a firm decision was needed I had everything arranged and had spent a small fortune on things  to share with others.

Way back in late June a few years back I did get a dark blue gingham school summer dress that I quite liked not least for how Junior it made me feel, which as far as I'm concerned is quite a good  thing and I had been thinking about something in a more classic pink.

Having a few things come Sunday reminded this one with two pleats at the front I like - I'm big on pleats - that caught my eye from a friend which having put it against me, seemed to be just perfect so I paid her for it in notes of the Bank of Purrland.

Gender cultural comformity

After an interesting week where one person at a site said they found my blog which is funny cos it is listed there and frankly anyone could google it, there was something that came into mind that I did feel about talking about.
Gender cultural norms.

I saw this a while back and personally I just love what it is about.
In the first instance do we know the gender of the dress wearer? Personally I couldn't careless as much as I care about your ability too be the gender you are.

It may be  someone born male  or maybe  a female who doesn't see why she should have to remove every single naturally growing hair from her leg nor pluck her eyebrows thin in the way groups of girls would gather in the dorms trying to do it for each other one having shown the others how.

Just why should anyone who identifies as female have to wear make up and lipstick or face being either ridiculed or be called out on their gender identity?

Can we not appreciate how they dress and what as people they are like-their inner beauty if you will?

If I want to wear a shorter skirt or a short sleeved dress especially this time of year then frankly as those who know me will know I shall without getting hung up on if there's a stray hair here or there as having a skin condition lots of shaving may remove hairs but does nothing for where patches where my eczema  is.
If as I do, I like to wear shorts like on Monday just going for a stroll where they may be overgrown hedgerows and that then why should that be regarded by some as just 'ikky boy' when as a female you can because that's you?

It's not what you wear so much as what you bring to them as the wearer.

Who is that person?

Easter's been and gone now with the egg all consumed.

Alternative versions of life though sometimes throw up some ideas such as what would it be really like if you did possess a mirror that while showing your body pose nonetheless showed you in a different light altogether.

Would you be looking for a touch extra sophistication and glamour making waves in a more goth inspired look or perhaps something more like a dress more suited to a cocktail party thinking that really was you.

Or maybe something more like that?

Perhaps you might feel it's as much about what you add to what you wear that makes the difference in being that version of you?

Fashion Musings

Cute need not be all frills or dresses whatever you might see at various places or be told and particularly in littles circles either as actual bio-kid girls aren't and don't.
Take these jeans for example. Denim for instance is usually seen more 'boyish' material no doubt for being made into the jeans that boys and men in the frontierlands worked in for its hard wearing qualities.
But actually these are so cute that they go even a little beyond even tomboyish sorts like me with the ever popular and uber cool Hello Kitty motifs especially as show they are teamed up  with matching cute over the shoulder bag.
There's no denying it's...feminine.

Stitched memories

If there is one past in the present moment in this life I'd love to recreate anew then this experience would be one on my list of five I'd put toward the top of it.

You see, for me visiting grandma's meant many things, playing games usually the sorts of games we either never had or perhaps no one would of thought I'd love like connect four, or tv shows my folks had issues with but talking with her about what was being shown and soft drinks and biscuits.

To me that was more fun than being locked into a car for three-quarters of an hour on your own and we'd make things from either paper or even make cakes.

The big thing was near enough every other week I'd be measured and we'd go through knitting patterns as she hand knitted nearly every single cardigan or sweater I had adapting the instructions to get a perfect fit on me usually at the same time and the same style as my female cousins in either dusty pink a odd mixture of bluesy pink, red or grey.

Sometimes I'd play on the swing in the rear garden, help out with planting things or even walk with her to the local park in an afternoon if it were the school hols.

Outside of school uniform, I never owned a machine made one into past my teens often on a similar style to the one on the right.

As a practising Christian , Easter and the entire Holy Week was marked  with readings around and Palms in vases. I'd always have an egg from her.
It's enough to know she's very much missed by me.

Check and replace edition

Here we are on a August Bank Holiday over here having to use Firefox as Pale Moon, the browser of choice on my ageing Windows 7 laptop is having stability issues and and so I am waiting for a major bug removing update for it as it is not reliable enough for blogging.
Today I have been out for a walk and across this week I have been  sorting through my old clothes especially woollens for winter between those that simply need to go due to wear and tear like holes in elbows and those that just need a wash and airing out.
One thing I did do was replace a sweatshirt I have had for a number of years for another with slightly longer arms in it apart from obviously being new in better condition that I tend to wear  with my grey and green pleated skirts.
As well I did toss out some old ankle socks for new longer black ones as they were showing signs of wear in the toes and heel.
Think Ill just rest now and relax. Roll on September!
