Waiting or making things happen

It may be just over four weeks off but my thoughts are very much centred around that time not least ideally you'd review the last year and most of us were encouraged to keep a journal of what we did, where went, what we learned and critically what we felt which would of helped with understanding how I felt about me and my life and perhaps of aided some sort of maturity which I'll be honest, I know I lack.

Something I think I do think might of helped me grow up at least a bit more which I do really need to would of been to had spent rather more of actual childhood in Girl Guiding, learning new skills, developing more confidence, learning to be a "do-er", being very much one of the girls.

Being able to show what I could learn, having a place in the scheme of things, learning to give more of myself rather than expecting others to do it really was the thing and perhaps it is time to consider something along those lines to help me grow up.

Sleeping well

Sometimes I wonder what a simple uncluttered bedroom for Junior Jo could be like because not unlike many actual juniors, it's easy to end up with kind of central entertainments complex featuring a bed which doesn't really help you associate it with restful activities like cat napping or sleep.
I've never had a Big bed in all my life outside of  vacations just  a junior one with a shortie mattress like those you get for 'classic' bunk beds

Skirting around the issue

Oh my brain hurts from a migraine but here goes.
It's not often I talk much around gender identity at least in part  because I've known mine for eons so it's kinda old hat to me plus I got tired of snarky debates around who was really what what in various trans forums because to me I'm just that-me, being me. I mean, if it said girl on my birth certificate you wouldn't  care.
Also as a number of you have actually seen me for real, you know cos you sensed it, we didn't need to say anything.
Overlooking the wrong uniform colours, this could of been so easily me had at the age of ten had I had been allowed to wear a skirt to school and I still can't see what was so wrong with that idea. Gee, I always draw myself as girl back then, something the psychologists I saw for other issues did pick up on so why the heck not?
Ironically some schools from time to time attempt to ban skirts today!

Bonds revisited

Another bond that can be between girls or between say a girl and an adult female is in allowing them to brush and plait their hair for them in different ways, no just the feeling of of being groomed as  social activity but the trust and conversations that develop as you do this over the years.
I like to have my hair ruffled and stroked.

A chilly start

Brr! This current weather is making me wish it was summer and I take a layer or two offer while taking in the sun with the rain and storm damage we've had so far into the new year. I don't know what gets into it but anyway I've been enjoying myself reading my annuals while it hasn't been good enough to go out much having had a few near misses as I lost my balance walking on the mogul like icy sidewalks here in the last few days.
You might recall I mentioned in the Christmas edition about sometimes getting the 'wrong' presents as in socks too big and scarcely me.
Well oversized boring  grey socks got replaced by smaller grey socks that are more girls socks a few days ago so at least we start the new year as I intend to: Being me.
