Realized me
There are times when I actually wonder what would of happened had my paperwork as a child would of read 'girl' which I really think it ought to of.
I've written a bit here about the conceptualized ideal of me as that 'special' schoolgirl having the life and experiences denied. I'm just visualizing a me having to wear a smart white blouse with a diagonal cross striped tie, white knee length socks and close fitting navy blue knickers underneath my gymslip.
I'd look really smart walking to school and between each classroom and no doubt subject to inspection to see I'm properly dressed to their rules and you know what?
I'd of of gladly complied!

Letting out your emotions
One thing many adult
kids struggle with is getting into a little frame of mind especially
if you've been at college or work where you've been dealing not just
with those responsibilities connected with say turning up on time
and doing the task you are expected to but also talking about more
grown up matters such as current affairs or medical science.
Dealing with the former
I'd had to say really caused my little side to come out stamping her
two feet however as you may not be able to leave some of these things
then what can we do to help?
The way in which your
little side can vary but for a good number of us, we need a lead
piece that throws a switch in us.
For some of us it can
be something that has a clear link to our pasts and for me things
like Theo 2nd, my brown teddy bear is one thing that I associate with
comfort, feeling safe and wanted as for all of my life not least the
time I spent in boarding school, teddies always went with me.
And what I got from
them was the same then as now, the ability when the day doesn't going
right, something I just hold and hug closely for minutes on end,
maybe even letting any tears go from whatever was upsetting me.
When
I stand in The Corner with my Teddy and cry, I find I can quickly get
into my "little" headspace. I don't know if it's as easy
for boys to do that, but you should try it. If you are going to be
Spanked, you might want to think long and hard and squeeze your
teddy. You may find the tears glow well before the Wooden Paddle
comes down across your bottom.
I
find hugging or sitting with one on my lap afterward helps me get
feel reassured everything will returned to how it was before I messed
up and I've learnt my lesson.
Another thing I think
is worth trying even is sleeping with it as whenever I felt the need
for a bit of night-time reassurance it really helps me relax, getting
a good nights sleep in.
God knows sometimes
even in 'adult' life you need that restfulness hugging a teddy brings
too.
Another thing that ties
into this is what we generally call plushies, soft furry creatures
sometimes linked to tv and film series that I think many of us like.
For me Hello Kitty is
very big and when working used travelled to and from our office where
she'd be on the desk with a few other bits and pieces simply because
for one thing my work was emotionally stressful and for another I
finding coping with being in that setting difficult so being able to
create a more agreeable child-like space in the back office helped me
to do my job, feeling more relaxed and in control of my emotions.
At home I have loads
set out in the spaces I set around in with a few other play things
that help me moving into a more child-like headspace, doing some
colouring or perhaps playing with toys on the floor.
Whenever I'm away with
little friends I always have a few plushies and dolls with me to
bring a bit of home to wherever I'm stopping.
For some, plushies are
more a collecting thing but to me they're much more than that,
they're furry characters I can weave into stories I then act out on
the floor or the couch, vocalizing for good measure that brings to
life your imagination.
And that's the
imagination of that adult kid let out, having fun.

Hello and goodnight from me
Hi people.
First things first, we've a number of new visitors to this blog according to the numbers thing Google provide, and if that's you please read the About and if you wish, add a comment to the Hellos sections you click on from the top of the blog as they'll explain what this blog is really about and why I was so pleased Samantha amongst others publicly recognized the value of it.
I also wish to welcome PowderKid ,teenb101,Pickachu, tinkerbell and Noodle to my home of schoolgirlish innocence as well as Mary who returned to GT this week.
People at Adisc and GT may have noticed something, namely my avatar yes the one form the same series as the delightful image I'm claiming this week, looks well, sharper, because when I edited it last time to fit the square 150x150pxavatar size restrictions at both sites, somehow the online resizer made it very grainy something Noodle rightly brought to my attention so I redid the resizing.
Last week I talked about sleep having lost several spoons to staying awake for longer than is good for me and sleep is something that has been mentioned before as in Little Modes Sleep both at GT and there's a current thread running on it at Adisc plus there's my "Downsized Sleep" entry on here about talking about how and what I got from throwing the groan up stuff out of it!
Anyway peoples you'll recall I'd converted sleep into a going to sleep and waking up as a adult little girl experience with age appropriate bedlinen, teddy bears, posters, pretty much the works really and it was wonderful.
Well, how well do you find actually switching off, closing your eyes and going to sleep? If you're like most of us maybe a bit iffy even if we turn off the Tv for a bit before getting into bed. But there's something, you might remember it, that used to work pretty well for you when you were younger and I'm suggesting you try it.
Recently faced with this, I recalled this reassuring routine of either being read a short story or maybe of listening to soothing songs -Lullabies- that from being in bed get you into a relaxed sleepy frame of mind from my own childhood.
It happens that Amazon has a pretty good recording of Lullabies in contemporary arrangements in stock that is available as an inexpensive download as well as a cd and I bought it.
Lullabies-the rainbow collection which I'm sure is available on Amazon in the States and Canada too.
It runs for about 35 minutes which is just long enough for you to start to drift off clutching your teddy and it does really help having adopted this into my sleep routine packed with favourite songs and rhymes from the past.
Until the next time and IK chat.
Hugs Jo.

Girlifying a Jo
This sort, not to frilly but clearly feminine very much would fit the bill with attention to socks, clip on earings and a headband.

Get yer kit on
In my regressing I'm resembling that child so here's a story around that.
There is something I find most agreeable about having to wear a pleated PE skirt with matching navy blue gym knickers for games or exercise having been to a co-ed boarding school as well as wearing that combination since.
I love the freedom of movement over shorts, the sheer femininity while preserving some modesty are overwhelming plus they're more enjoyable during the summer months.

Feeling the changed situation
A large chunk of the total regression package has to involve NOT doing anything adult that cannot possible be helped, leaving anything that can very much at the door.
This means that outside of any studying, the resumption of adult authority over me as their charge, my free time would be spend in a very child-like way playing childhood games like jump rope while dressed as a little girl.

Online colouring
Just while checking this photo program out, I went over to a colouring book site site that links to online colouring books where you can can click onto virtual paint and colour in.
It's listed on the favourite sites page on this blog.
Here's one I did earlier:As you can see the tools are well laid out so you just click to load your brush (cursor arrow), move to where you want and click to paint that part.
It's also the first post entirely made from the laptop as I've had to learn where everything is stored!
