St Trinians

No this isn't about my school although I've told you a bit about that in the past but in 2012 Ronald Searl who did such a jolly good job of illustrating St Trinians died. He always felt this work overshadowed some of his other excellent material and maybe over here we're guilty of it.

This said it took a special kind of a man to get into the head of just what a all girls boarding school could be like when the authority figures weren't really in control and to extend the series as much as he did ending up with the science class blowing themselves up. No chance it would happen with me around cos I'm terrified of matches!

Anyway as a bit of tribute to the man and what's become an iconic series of films I'm showing this image of the four girls victorious waving their hockey sticks through air having seen of their rivals on the pitch.

There's so much of that in me it's worrying!

School: What's it for?

School tends to be in the news a lot.

Sometimes it's about things such as Uniform where one Derbyshire highschool is abolishing shirts, ties and blazers from next September, all too often it's about violence in school be it child to child or attacks on Staff or just persistent low level disruption of the sort that foreshortens lesson time and  leads to less information really "going in".

And of course in the UK we have the fallout of the Cass Report looking at Gender and related issues as they apply to children in home and increasingly in school looking at dress codes and gender, so-called "social transitioning" and interventions that parents *may* not be made aware of even if in the event of complications they may have to deal with.

Well what is school really for?

At one level it is about providing an environment where each child can grow as a person to their full potential, free to be themselves.

It's a place that meets the requirement in law that we should cause a child to be educated to certain agreed academic standards. The law doesn't require you go to school but you do have an Education.

It should with the help of others assist in making the transition to adulthood in such things as further and high education where needed and to be able to take up employment so you can pay your own way and take part in things such as community service in some capacity and be able to understand and able to take part in current affairs and to vote so you have say in how we are run.

Many hold that uniform does promote smartness and being properly in the mindset to learn which will apply as you get older.

By leaving school you should understand the need to listen to and respect authority but feel able to share thoughts and concerns in a considered, sensible way even if yours isn't the final word on the matter.

You also should of got the message we represent things, our school, employers and bodies we do things in like community groups accepting the need for clear discipline and leadership.

To me you should be able to select what from the uniform range you wish to wear in fairly constant manner and where possible be able to undertake different sports and subject that fit you best where any longer term issues around your gender identity are worked through with care where any hard to reverse measures have had time to be fully considered.

Shattered

Good grief! What I'd give for a grump free few days after him getting ratty and unfocused after apparently losing his debit card but only realizing it  a few days just as he was about to go shopping, flying off at tangents, screaming, unable to make a decisive action and stick with it.

Because of that he wound himself up that much he wasn't able to talk to the bank when that course of  action - you might say the obvious one - so on top of putting up with all of that maximum level drama  I end up using MY own mobile to ring (his seemingly had no credit), waiting for all the button pressing, why don't you use our online app faff to get to human being  and putting him "on the line" as I've no legal authority to act for his finances.

That despite attempts to away from what's needed does work and, touch wood, in a few days time a new card should be with him.

Off which happened on a day when I was up early, getting stuff done hoping to spend more time "girlie"

Now to sort the food bin for collection.

Being...you

After last weeks emotionally draining post and thanks for your comments we're now trying to recover from severe cramp in the left leg which is making getting about difficult trying to avoid awkward positions and putting too much weight on that side.

Yesterday was a more schoolgirlie kind of a day here as irritating as it is when you suddenly discover when you see a blue van with white logos turn up someone else ordered something they failed to tell you all about and it won't fit in the letterbox either so the white perline socks and that are now going by seen by at least one muggle if not everyone in your part of street!

That said what I have on feels right on me which in view of last weeks post and the odd one before is a good thing not that I think you should reduce what you wear to the point you're a walking Avatar, permanently in just one rigid role.

The last weeks very low temperatures a super frilly satin dress really wouldn't of been the best choice for going out in the wind shopping in - you'd die of exposure in both senses of that expression!

I never did psychology classes although I have read a bit around it being interested in what makes people what they are and how different communities differ, economics, public administration and politics was more my thing at the time.

It sometimes seems to me in that whole attempt to find you we lose ourselves in the pack we join while exploring that trying too hard to fit in in every respect and yet can we and still be our authentic selves?

Perhaps we myself included need to teach ourselves to just be us going out and living it?

Experiments

It is a very windy day with much rain so it will be very much a stay indoors, read comics and stay warm day until it dies down enough to sort out the many moved items and a broken bird bath later on.

At one site people are discussing identity which for many of us tends to be complex because really many of us share multiple ones and within each you may not do or meet every single aspect some put under it.

It has also over the years been a delicate and troubling issue with me at least as much for the prejudices of differing communities toward certain groups from the big girl world of transfemales and transexuals feelings towards any of us who are more around being and dressing more child-like as in "little girl" or within that community of Little Girls towards other groups such as "Baby Cubs", AB and/or DL or "Sissies".

Some refuse to have anything to with you be it in real life or online no matter what you, yourself might do in your own take on that life or around others.

And we all need to be aware of how our actions may be seen especially when in more public settings but when in reality nothing in it gets between what other groups are doing nor is illegal or immoral.

I will acknowledge I have always had a suppressed more overly girlie side that fits more in with some aspects of "sissy" as much as I can and enjoy other sides such as schoolgirl presentation and in real life recreation than what some "little girls" seem to be comfortable with and yet it's just a look, a cut of a few pieces of material stitched together.

Dresses in satins often with prints, frilly undergarments possibly frillier than most girls would like but you just adore can I truthfully say I don't have a more sissy side?

Elsewhere I've battled with it, tried arguing against it, and yet it keeps coming back and what is wrong with someone seeing me as "a sissy" - just that individual and what really is my own issue with me?

I think it's time to accept that side of me and to say don't be afraid to call me what I am among many other things a "little sissy" in the same way many accept my needs for sp@nking and they can go together without straying into very much adult content territory.

Triggering...

Further to last weeks post, we all know International tensions have been high and while that is likely to lead to political commentary, which while being a bit away from that whole "little girl talk" thing a site is supposed to had been, "Off topic" soon becomes a Live Newsfeed.

You can make the argument that overtly political content does take anyone who joined looking for more of a age regressive or age dysphoric home where you just talk about more child-like concerns with little more than a nod to a change of Prime Minister or the effects of inflation on  sweet prices a bit out of where you wish to be then you can skip Off Topic which in the worst modern trends is on a site that doesn't support dedicated topic threads there normally would be limits.

Yet some people evidently do need to get stuff off their chests

For me it was broken on Monday when a person decided to post a political cartoon that showed a major Political leader being given an award for being a paedophile as humour.

Given there is a hinted at connection between this person being at parties where under age sex was available that for some of us is deeply triggering as is the casual use of that as trope against people you don't like (rather than saying "hope you get cancer" to anyone you dislike.

There is much to dislike about this world leader but casually tossing in that topic really takes me way out anything comfortable - it brings back deeply traumatic memories.

That place is gone for me.

Closing the door

I'm a bit annoyed this week when just remarking on the Grok controversy that a.n.other had posted in an "off topic" thread as it applied to adults whose images were manipulated in sexual ways or children depicted sexually you're told they agree with some of your observations, they are concerned about the themes you spoke (very briefly) of and that you're told to keep things sweet and little girl like.

Sorry, but all isn't sweetness and light some of us were abused as children sexually and given the many issues we've had from people seeing us as "debbie downers", liars and much worse expecting to go crawl under a rock and never mention either what happened or that it can being told in effect mentioning something pertinent to our experience of being LG can't even be referenced (we're not talking graphic detail just saying it happens).

We live with the effects every day and in our LG lives, a person who I won't name needed to taken outside by me and told in no uncertain terms just going behind you and grabbing  you is deeply traumatic and they were to never, ever do it again at a meet up just underscores and and wishing away the idea some of us like sadly some actually children are living with this grates.

Shutting people out was a textbook emotional response for me for many many years and I guess it can be justified as a means of preventing others actions from hurting your inner feelings.

It seems a lot easier than dealing with their drama or give them another chance to hurt you even more. I do that sometimes when I get tired of the drama or I know they are gonna say something hurtful I just cut off the relationship cold and walk away.

The trouble was it drifted into shutting people out to prevent any possible hurt learning to deal with relationships.

I've had it with being silenced.
