A message from the Plushies II

Been a bit busy tidying up this week removing magazines that soon build up and the likes and  I thought I'd post about something that is troubling me.

One group appears to have a "one set of rules for some and another for all else" running through who can be in a private group on a popular messaging site, the way people can know about any group activities - only seeing the information WHEN you've been added to the list so you never know to even register an interest before and not even getting back to your messages.

Ideas for a back up channel if one long running LG site has issues using the same provider are just ignored without comment even though they know the old Yahoo system had ceased working a while back and there is no list on site of Moderators so if anyone has a concern they can raise directly.

Time to just cuddle your plushies while this carry on continues.

Reflections on the week

Well we are back although the journey certainly tried my patience with diversion, road closure and resurfacing signs coupled with incidents doubling the time it took to get home from littles camp.

It's a sign that this thing has actually worked that I was able to zone out, letting it pass over me without going into a meltdown or swearing quite badly, keeping calm even when the car driver was starting to get quite agitated.

The other thing was I was able find a way though the politics of presentation as one or two have some rather trenchant ideas about how littles should dress and unlike them I accept the changes today have a good number of things that are better when it comes to gender roles and how we dress.

So I found ways of being more "girlie" when I felt like it that weren't so stereotypical and stood my ground where an activity simply wasn't going to work for me in a respectful way, doing all I could to help out.

That again used to be a bit problematic mainly because few said exactly what and when they really needed a hand and I'm used to more direct "I could use some help" statements rather than mind reading, bobbing up all the time with offers that would be met by counter offers.

I'd say I did good this time.

Warning signs

Phew that's the weekend  gone not that after a day or or of so-so weather the sun hasn't gone as while I'm typing this it is actually shining as I sip my tea.
One thing that comes into play is the extent to which any group of people feel a gathering of others needs any sense of "While you're here most of the time you should look like xxx" especially when it comes people who have influence over things like a gathering of littles.

The essence of what was said amounted to three things, firstly not withstanding some issues with "males" who may present as little girls needing to travel down to and out in more male attire to avoid undue attention or create issues with people you may rent a venue from they feel too much time is spent having arrived like that that and not being "girlie" at a Little Girls meeting

That they suggest during certain core times people be expected to dress "girlie" or risk being spoken to  or possibly barred from attending.

That they should cater for a more older age range who is looking more for dressing "girlie" opportunities.

The first thing I would say is this event has two words in it Little and Girl.

Taking the first, the thing here is more that a person is more of a mind set of some one who is younger than their age - and you attend to be and let that side out.

People may be "role playing" or they may be age regressed but this is all about a state of mind you are in and yes I can see you wouldn't want to be getting into adult work or interest talk and that takes away from people who have come to let that younger Little Girl side out.

A person may be in that mindset without necessary dressing in an overtly young more child-like way but in any event, to make things happen like put on activities, organize food  preparation does of necessarily take you out of that at certain points.

That second word is Girl.

Now, a person attending might be born and recorded as a girl and some are, you may be born male but role playing a little girl, you may be non binary or gender fluid as some of us are.

Would you seriously suggest a girl, a girl in the strictest biological sense be barred from wearing for instance jeans or dungarees because they are not "girlie" when actual girls who are children don't necessarily dress in frilly satin short dresses with lace and bows?

I see many about wearing jeans and shorts.

Are we to demand that she must wear skirts and dresses during the day to be with everyone else?

Could you only make such a restriction apply to males presenting as little girls when some may be more school girls in uniforms that aren't necessary "girlie" either even if they did have skirts?

Do you or are you even trying to bar those of us who are non binary or gender fluid from even being able to attend by prescribing our gender presentation?

What would you do if I wore a pair of shorts under a skirt as some school girls do or if I prefer to wear skorts and not skirts especially for sports? Inspect and police a 'no pants' policy?

Check for female only branded products?

You might of thought that the idea that rigid dress codes based on gender had long gone in mainstream society when women do wear trouser suits and girls may wear trousers to school but it seems to alive and in good health within us.

These ideas were the thoughts of some who do attend and who are thinking about changing the rules to make Little Girls camp more "girlie".

To want little girls camp to be little is understandable but trying to make it in effect Little Girlie camp all about being girlie and having to dress girlie as a requirement  just seems...off.

I am not so sure frankly if this was to go ahead, I would honestly want to be a part of it.

Activated in July edition

Reactivated original account at FA now restyled as Secondary seems to be going well as just the spot for writing at a pace that suits me about how I'm feeling, this life and all that's in it to the point the Avatar is this one which is sufficiently different and yet capturing a chunk of being me.
The long awaited New laptop is actually here and indeed this was written on it  although confusingly it came with a sticker and piece of paper saying it needed the 25 character code for authorizing windows entering although checking on Settings, Authorization and Updates showed it HAD been activated by "Digital License" one of two methods allowed under Windows 10 by Microsoft (they expressly use the word "either" between "digital license" and "product activation code").
That was as well as being dyslexic I find reading them especially when they use easily confused characters like B and 8 in small type and usually need support with it like someone who can read!
I've got the Quiz Question and worksheets printed off ready for Camp come the end of the month and my rail tickets for a lift down enroute, catering seems to be sorting itself out as is meals.
With all the other stuff that's been around me this and having to think about it has helped keep my thoughts out of the darker more riskier areas so the only things I need to concentrate on is getting a tablet review so I can have some more to take with me and getting my regular ones in town this week.
Until next week, bye!

Making plans an that

Things are it has to be said nothing on here that even with the weather the last week being at its coldest so far this winter I have been out for a good three quarters to a whole hour a day taking in the fresh air walking and observing things  such as several birds singing in a nest, a group flying in a V shaped formation and with the eather being mild until recently even the pussy willow being out in the local woods.
Arrangements are being made for February Littles camp where an unexpected offer of an extra free day seems to have caught a number of us with limited time off from work to take full advantage of it although if it were to be offered again I am sure that it would prove useful although to date seems likely we'll be returning in the summer to the old venue as the appropriate has taken that off the property market and is taking bookings into mid summer.
Given this is a new place we've been asked to arrive more toned down than full on little although given my Tom Boy side tends to come out that's no big deal as I'm still little in regular brogues and shorts and never had a big thing for super frilly dresses anyway.
Perhaps I should bring a catapult?
