Hello and goodnight from me

Hi people.
First things first, we've a number of new visitors to this blog according to the numbers thing Google provide, and if that's you please read the About and if you wish, add a comment to the Hellos sections you click on from the top of the blog as they'll explain what this blog is really about and why I was so pleased Samantha amongst others publicly recognized the value of it.
I also wish to welcome PowderKid ,teenb101,Pickachu, tinkerbell and Noodle to my home of schoolgirlish innocence as well as Mary who returned to GT this week.
People at  Adisc and GT may have noticed something, namely my avatar yes the one form the same series as the delightful image I'm claiming this week, looks well, sharper, because when I edited it last time to fit the square 150x150pxavatar size restrictions at both sites, somehow the online resizer made it very grainy something Noodle rightly brought to my attention so I redid the resizing.
Last week I talked about sleep having lost several spoons to staying awake for longer than is good  for me and sleep is something that has been mentioned before as in Little Modes Sleep both at GT and there's a current thread running on it at Adisc plus there's my "Downsized Sleep" entry on here about talking about how and what I got from throwing the groan up stuff out of it!
Anyway peoples you'll recall I'd converted sleep into a going to sleep and waking up  as a adult little girl experience with age appropriate bedlinen, teddy bears, posters, pretty much the works really and it was wonderful.
Well, how well do you find actually switching off, closing your eyes and going to sleep? If you're like most of us maybe a bit iffy even if we turn off the Tv for a bit before getting into bed. But there's something, you might remember it, that used to work pretty well for you when you were younger and I'm suggesting you try it.
Recently faced with this, I recalled this reassuring routine of either being read a short story or maybe of listening to soothing songs -Lullabies- that from being in bed get you into a relaxed sleepy frame of mind from my own childhood.
It happens that Amazon has a pretty good recording of Lullabies in contemporary arrangements in stock that is available as an inexpensive download as well as a cd and I bought it.
Lullabies-the rainbow collection which I'm sure is available on Amazon in the States and Canada too.
It runs for about 35 minutes which is just long enough for you to start to drift off clutching your teddy and it does really help having adopted this into my sleep routine packed with favourite songs and rhymes from the past.
Until the next time and IK chat.
 Hugs Jo.

Girlifying a Jo

Much of the talk on this blog has been around the notion of presentation as a school girl in her uniform, that's only a part of the actual presentation of a school age child and so in my regression it ought to include a more dressy feminine side even if I need to helped to dress.
This sort, not to frilly but clearly feminine very much would fit the bill  with attention to socks, clip on earings and a headband.

Get yer kit on

In my regressing I'm resembling that child so here's a story around that.
There is something I find most agreeable about having to wear a pleated PE skirt with matching navy blue gym knickers for games or exercise having been to a co-ed boarding school as well as wearing that combination since.

I love the freedom of movement over shorts, the sheer femininity while preserving some modesty are overwhelming plus they're more enjoyable during the summer months.

Feeling the changed situation

A large chunk of the total regression package has to involve NOT doing anything adult that cannot possible be helped, leaving anything that can very much at the door.
This means that outside of any studying, the resumption of adult authority over me as their charge, my free time would be spend in a very child-like way playing childhood games like jump rope while dressed as a little girl.

Online colouring

Just while checking this photo program out, I went over to a colouring book site site that links to online colouring books where you can can  click onto virtual paint and colour in.
It's listed on the favourite sites page on this blog.
Here's one I did earlier:

As you can see the tools are well laid out so you just click to load your brush (cursor arrow), move to where you want and click to paint that part.
It's also the first post entirely made from the laptop as I've had to learn where everything is stored!

Age regression and spanking

As a topic this sometimes divides people in a way that goes beyond the arguments that rage over the subject of spanking in connection with actual biological age children.

To me I don't age play because I am looking for a spanking and I don't look at spanking  because I want to be involved in age play because the big thing both have in common is allowing my emotionally real inner kid out and letting her play is a part of my healing for what I can only truthfully describe as a troubled upbringing that has lead to a troubled life.

The thing by being little me is it allows me to do the things I want to do rather than masking in attempt to portray and adult albeit one who can't act that role right but because I have the vulnerabilities you would associate with an actual child  and some of negative behaviour patterns that a troubled child would exhibit but which in an adult form people struggle to handle.

In essence one important thing I'm not so much wanting but needing from this experience is age play guardians or parents who will guide and raise me more like the Inner Child  in adult wrapping I am but using a age play setting so I am in effect their little girl with all the emotional and psychological import that goes with it.

Part of this healing for me is for me to learn what are acceptable standards of behaviour and attitude to the point I can be reasonably relied to carry them out and to put a stop for me on those that are not only only set me back.

Whatever the current arguments and points of view are, the era in which I was brought up in was one where spanking was an everyday fact of life for a child that we expected and in the context of  recreating that past, my little side benefits from restoration of the certainties she saw as part of adult authorities care and protection of her even from her own mistakes.

Spanking for me is part of that healing process where by I relearn by the standards of the time those behaviours and attitudes I am to live by and am subject to the same rituals that would see my bottom getting spanked live every other child back then and to which I associate with the loving protection and nuture the adults that were good to me in childhood delivered whenever I needed it.
The heat from your spanking stays in your gym knickers for ages so it's hardly surprising you feel like rubbing them.

It just feels right to me and that is why in age regression and in any kind of Caregiver or Guardian setting my Inner Kid wants and needs to be spanked (and not for any sexual reason) as part of her discipline.

Treetops

Treetops school as a concept began on a short lived website of mine around 2012 and took on a life of its own last year with a series of stories featuring people I was in contact with who shared a similar outlook on the no longer existing Tumblr and perhaps with a few changes, will return on this account.

The basic premise of Treetops was it was set in a fictional school in South Staffordshire in a big rambling former hall of which there are fair number and converted into school for Adult Middles with a suitable middle backstory, who were struggling with life and learning be it ‘real’ schools, college or  University or whatever.

Part of the reason they were struggling was that the had very much for real a ‘Middle headspace’  that was their normal one so not only did they not relate to other adults as adults, from the inside they were not, being children of around 12 upward who simply could not cope with adult expectations and critically needed the structure of traditional girls school.

Treetops was a place that offered them a second chance because it respected their being adult middles, allowing them to express themselves while at the same by effectively putting them back in school, it provided the very structured life they needed as well the chance to improve on their formal education.

Every Treetops adult Middle ‘child’ has to wear a full per-determined school uniform with only a few exemptions that they are given as needed, there is a house system which every girl is assigned, and Prefects to encourage the girls to exercise responsibility for themselves and to ensure other girls do the same.

Treetops provided them with personal support and guidance that went beyond academic education, covering social and life skills as many had struggled with these that to get by around the Adult World they needed  to grasp.

Treetops also understood something fundamental about most adult middles, which is often they struggle with behavioral norms, don’t get subtle hints and more ‘grown up’ ways of disciplining them so they agreed to be given strict corporal punishment instead which often works better at making long term changes for the better to their attitudes and behaviour in their work and personal relationships.

This would start from slapping of legs and hands, through spanking to  having the cane with many finding it not only helped with learning appropriate attitudes but with being in an appropriate sense of place being held to account in suitably child-like way. Treetops middles truly appreciated this even if some big wigs in the Adult World had issues with it, because it works for them.

In some ways them it was more a cross between an enlightened, progressive Reform School and Malory Towers, which as far as the girls were concerned was the bestest place to be.
