I don't actually know where to put myself today as the weekends events have left me feeling very different about me (and some of this will go elsewhere), what I can do and really about my life so far in.
As well all know, the one big difference this year with the exception of days when I am truly too unwell to work or away on meets such as Camp, my weekends are taken up with something deliberately challenging.
Two days of concentrated study where I pretty much have to work on just that, sat at a desk, in uniform with no distractions working from the study guides with just fixed recess periods with no dawdling, back chat or refusing to start being accepted.
Really.
This weekend has seen me work on my English looking at how people who write stories try to draw you into the character, getting you to think you were involved and learning how to compare and contrast different texts on the same subject by style, language, use of humour and summarize any differences effectively.
I had set questions to answer on it and I managed 90%.
Concentration is my main thing, I'm awful at it, often leap frogging from task to task often more around what I find interesting rather than what needs to be done and thinking about how might get the thing finished.
Some days tend to be better compared to others but that's one of my problems apart from just forgetting tons and tons of things within minutes of been told that.
Perhaps getting back to more of this straightaway rather than leaving it a day or so and plenty of practise at making my own strategies for getting stuff done would help a lot more?
Err I'm having a bit of a bad day here just trying to get anything done really, piles left in no real order as I'm flitting from one thing to another thinking I can start something without really seeing any one thing through.
Perhaps if I stayed with you you might be able to help me with all of that and a lot more?

It's a May Bank Holiday next Monday and I have things to be doing not least a few things for the local community which at least keep me fitter than if I didn't even if the weather as ever is all over the place as it was on Monday with strong winds and all that.
Charming considering this coming weekend people in part of the North-west Midlands are out celebrating over1000 years of the history of Staffordshire which in its original form is the home two large urban conurbations at its far ends and was ranked as the fifth most populous County in England.
From Flash to Enville and from Gnosall (but sadly have they have no Gnu's) to Uttoxeter it is a country rich in contrasts, countryside and industrial heritage.
In Lichfield, the county has a most wonderful cathedral.
This week I found an old school photograph which would of been when I was thirteen and a bit taken with just a hint of the then popular diffusion with a soft wide apertured background that's noticeable for the short bob girlish style hair and baby pink v neck sweater with tie which clearly showed how I saw thinks back then, uniform style but not rigidly stereotypical.
Back then the gender divide was of almost Berlin Wall proportions not least in school so you might make your own arrangements for getting "in" with things the other sex alone officially were supposed to do be them sports, games you play or comics you'd rather read although because most of my sports were disability sports at least they were co-ed unlike most.

Even if you were lucky to acquire the comics or figure you wanted, chances are many may of gone by now so I was pleased to get this compilation of classic girls annuals of the 1970's - the sort of thing some of us read - with stories we remember presented as annual.
Although this came out in 2014, I'd been looking for a copy for ages when I found a store with a copy in and got it.
Given the heavy rain of late, it's just the thing to cheer me up.
A couple of rather good but super expensive records arrived that game out a few years ago when my attention was rather more on compact discs that sounded absolutely amazing and one record that was very much a part of my growing up.
I have been at work doing a bit of a spring clean to this blog, not a rebranding as in the last few years not only have things been a bit difficult for me personally but also the direction of this blog has started to change and I also felt some topics had rather overstayed their welcome.
You do need some light and shade within a blog and I prefer more broader magazine format blogging that was a staple of the early years so I've tided things up a bit, removed teh odd typo and that.
Now for a milk shake!
Well when doing that I found something I hadn't mentioned before on here that is I just loved Sesame Street for the characters and especially the message it put over in what could be very selfish and commercial set of values found elsewhere.
That was a plushie my parents bought me some years ago.
That was pretty much what I had been up to this weekend at the Easter party, enjoying the Egg Hunt.
The only thing that matters is in being our authentic selves we deal with, to the best of our abilities, those most essential adult responsibilities we have.
